&#60;li&#62;Click &#34;Start&#34; -&#38;gt; &#34;All Programs&#34; -&#38;gt; &#34;Accessories&#34; -&#38;gt; right-click &#34;Command Prompt&#34; and choose &#34;Run as Administrator&#34; (or &#34;Run&#34; on Windows XP)&#60;/li&#62;
&#60;li&#62;Type &#34;cd \Program Files\Rebit\bin&#34; and Enter (for SaveMe products, replace the Rebit folder name with &#34;Rebit-SaveMe&#34;)&#60;/li&#62;
&#60;li&#62;Type &#34;sc stop RebitSysMonSvc&#34; and Enter (for SaveMe products, type &#34;sc stop Rebit-SaveMe-SysMonSvc&#34;)&#60;/li&#62;
&#60;li&#62;Type &#34;sc delete RebitSysMonSvc&#34; and Enter (for SaveMe products, type &#34;sc delete Rebit-SaveMe-SysMonSvc&#34;)&#60;/li&#62;
&#60;li&#62;Type &#34;RebitSysMon.exe -install&#34; and Enter (for SaveMe products, type &#34;Rebit-SaveMe-SysMon.exe -install&#34;)&#60;/li&#62;
&#60;li&#62;Type &#34;sc start RebitSysMon&#34; and Enter (for SaveMe products, type &#34;sc start Rebit-SaveMe-SysMon&#34;)&#60;/li&#62;

<title>Joost on "Rebit System Monitor won&#039;t start"</title>

<description>&#60;p&#62;Rebit stopped working properly and I tried to fix it with the help of the forum but was not successful.&#60;br /&#62;
I proceeded with this:&#60;br /&#62;
1. disconnect external hard drive&#60;br /&#62;
2. uninstall rebit using add/remove programs&#60;br /&#62;
3. restart laptop&#60;br /&#62;
4. connect hard drive&#60;br /&#62;
5. format external hard drive (tried both quick format and full format)&#60;br /&#62;
6. installed rebit version 3.0.258.7905&#60;br /&#62;
7. I did not have to enter the product key anywhere&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Rebit status: Rebit is Disconnected. This does not change when hard drive is disconnected and connected.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;1. started &#34;manage&#34; on &#34;My Computer&#34;&#60;br /&#62;
2. clicked on services&#60;br /&#62;
3. try to start &#34;Rebit System Monitor&#34;&#60;br /&#62;
4. Error message: Could not start the Rebit System Monitor Service on local computer. Error 2: The system cannot find the file specified.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Any idea what to do next.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;( I also tried all the Volume Shadow Service fixes but that did not help)
