Burning Rebit Recovery .iso file

    How do I use the recovery cd image you have available for download?

    The downloaded item you refer to, the RebitRecovery-5646.iso file, needs to be “burned” to a CD-ROM.

    To Burn a “.iso” file to CD-ROM, please follow these steps

    1. Click to download the RebitRecovery-5646.iso file
    2. Open a “My Downloads” or “My Computer” window and browse to the location of the downloaded “.iso” file
    3. Right-click the file icon and select “Open with”
    4. In the list that appears, select a CD burning application such as Roxio or Nero *
    5. Once the application is open, insert a blank CD-ROM
    6. Look for a button labeled “Burn Now” or something equivalent and click the button to begin the CD burning process

     
    The results should be a CD-ROM with 2 sub-folders, “boot” and “BMR” – Not a folder with a file called “RebitRecovery-5646.iso”.
     
    * Note: An application is needed that is capable of burning iso images. Some freely available applications are available on the web.
