I use my laptop as if it were a desktop. It has a Vista 32 bit operating system. As a ,docking station, I use a ,7 port USB adapter. Can I simply unplug the 7 port adapter from my PC or must I first uninstall drive. Can I damage data or drive if I do not uninstall drive before disconnecting from my laptop.

When I plug in my backup drive will it automatically begin a new system backup up again?

We recommend using Safely Disconnect every time the Rebit drive has to be disconnected. This is done to ensure that Rebit is not in the process of protecting the system and has the opportunity to stop working properly. Data and disk corruption can occur is the drive is not safely disconnected.

Upon plugging the drive back into the system, Rebit will recalculate and find all the new data on your drive before backing it up and creating a new recovery point.
