I installed rebit on my external drive. It reformated the drive and told me the installation was successful. However when I plug the drive into my USB port and run the software, I get the message above. My computer drives are FAT32, but I'm not trying to install the software on them, I want to back them up. What do I have to do?

Rebit only backup NTFS base system drive (C:\).
Rebit will back up other drives (other than C:\) which could be NTFS or FAT32.Posted 2 years ago # -
I too would like an answer about this error message. Nowhere did I see where FAT32 was an issue with installation and use of this product.

This is a topic covered in our FAQs section:
Does Rebit™ support FAT32 filesystems?
Partially. The system volume (usually the C: drive) needs to be NTFS formatted. If the system volume is formatted FAT32, a "convert"
utility is available in the Windows operating system installation. Click here
for more information.
For volumes other than the system volume (e.g. the D: drive), Rebit™ will copy the information once during the inital backup process.
Changes made to files on a FAT32 filesystem are not tracked, and only the original backup is available during restore.Posted 1 year ago #
