This thread is intended to address the warning message from Rebit that there are no snapshots created for X many hours.

There are several reasons for this message, and here they are starting with the most common:

      I. Activation

The first thing that should be done is to make sure that the Rebit software is properly activated. To activate, right-click the frog icon in the tray located in the lower right corner of your screen and select "More" and "Activate software." Enter in your license key and click Activate. When the software is properly activated the option to activate will disappear from the menu and is indicative that the software is already activated.

II. The external drive is not "seen"

If the external drive is disconnected or not "seen" by the computer for an extended period of time, the "No Snapshots" message will result. To determine if your computer is "seeing" the external drive, Right click My Computer (or just Computer if using Vista or 7) and select Manage. There, double-click on Disk Management and you will see all the disks that are connected.
If your external drive appears in this list, go on to section III. If it is not in the list, contact our customer support team for further assistance.

      III. Corrupt indexes

If the previous two steps did not resolve this problem, then there is an issue with a corrupt index on the external drive. This is a rare issue, but it does happen on certain computers. Corrupt indexes can happen for a number of reasons, and while our latest software has the ability to prevent this from happening in the future, it cannot fix it once it has already occurred. Please follow the steps on our forum on how to reset your Rebit. Here is a link:
