      Rebit is Disconnected

There are several reasons for this message, and here they are starting with the most common:

    1. Activation
    2. The first thing that should be done is to make sure that the Rebit software is properly activated. To activate, right-click the frog icon in the tray located in the lower right corner of your screen and select "More" and "Activate software." Enter in your license key and click Activate. When the software is properly activated the option to activate will disappear from the menu and is indicative that the software is already activated.

    3. The external drive is not "seen"
    4. If the external drive is disconnected or not "seen" by the computer for an extended period of time, the "No Snapshots" message will result. To determine if your computer is "seeing" the external drive, Right click My Computer (or just Computer if using Vista or 7) and select Manage. There, double-click on Disk Management and you will see all the disks that are connected.
If your external drive does not appear in this list, then try plugging it into a USB port directly into the computer. If this is a desktop computer, plug it into the back of the tower. If this does not work, then there might be a hardware issue. The USB cable, enclosure, or the hard drive itself could have failed. If this is the case, please contact customer support for additional assistance.
