To retrieve data from a NAS backup, that is no longer an active Rebit 5 installation, you must do the following:
- Uninstall Rebit 5 if installed.
- Mount the NAS share as a drive letter. This is very important.
- Run "Start.exe" from the root of the NAS share.
- You should be presented with the option to "Browse" or "Install". This can take several minutes to appear depending on the number of backed up systems, and the sizes of their respective databases. If it seems to hang, walk away, and get a cup of your favorite beverage. Patience is rewarded.
- Select "Browse" (if you select install you will only be able to see your own backup.)
- Remember to hit the Alt key and select "View" then "Refresh" or F5 should work.
- You should now be able to see all of the systems backed up to the share.
- When you have finished copying your data, uninstall the browser, and reboot.
- You may now install Rebit 5.
