I have a "software only" licence and have set my system up to backup on an external USB drive. I want to replace this external drive with another, of a different capacity. How do I transfer the contents from the existing drive to the new one?

This process is not trivial. There are files and folders hidden in a subfolder on the Rebit storage device that will need to be transferred.
To transfer from one disk drive to another, follow these steps:
- Disconnect the external disk drive
- Uninstall the Rebit software from Control Panel
- Restart the computer
- Connect the new external disk drive to use as Rebit storage
- Format the external drive with Quick Format (this will delete data; copy any data of interest first)
- Download the appropriate Rebit software file from this link. For example, if you have Rebit SaveMe, find the link for the Rebit SaveMe software.
- Launch the downloaded file if it does not launch automatically
- Follow the screen prompts to prepare the external drive, but prevent the software installation; Click "Cancel" at the user license agreement screen
- Open "My Computer" and determine the drive letter of the external disk drive (target disk)
- Connect the original disk drive and determine the drive letter (source disk)
- Click "Start" -> "Run..."
- Type "xcopy /H /S /E <source disk>:\Rebit\data\* <target disk>:\Rebit\data\" and Enter
- Allow the copy to complete, then disconnect the source disk drive
- Double-click the target disk drive icon, then launch the "Start.exe" item
- After Rebit software installs, it will then be able to utilize the data transferred to the disk

Thank you for the procedure, now I have 2 questions:
1) How do I simply replace the old usb drive with a new one of higher capacity and back up the computer fresh (without restoring old data from the old drive) ?2) I believe uninstalling rebit removes activation. Will reinstalling the software let me reactivate it again? How many reactivations do you allow on the "licence only" save-me express edition?

To take away the current USB drive and replace it with a different drive, follow the steps at the post on How Do I Reset Rebit?
The license activation will take care of itself in this case. The reactivations for the same computer are unlimited. If the activation records on our server indicate "license key already in use" we may need to reset the license. Provide the license key to Support at Rebit to get a key with this status reset.
