SaveMe Reset Instructions
IMPORTANT: These reset instructions will only work for SaveMe version x.x.1035.x. If you have a different version do NOT proceed any further!
- Disconnect the Rebit device from your computer
- Uninstall any existing Rebit software (from the Control Panel) and allow the computer to restart
- Turn off your Antivirus program (if you have this option)
- Plug the Rebit device back into the computer
- Format the Rebit hard drive (all data will be deleted)
- Double-click “Rebit-SaveMe-Builder-3.0.1035.8778.exe” if it does not automatically start
- Follow the instructions provided on-screen to update and install the Rebit software
- Once your Rebit software is activated, you can re-enable the Antivirus software
MAKE SURE YOU'VE COPIED ANY OF YOUR OWN PERSONAL DATA OFF OF THE REBIT DRIVE, AS THESE NEXT STEPS WILL PERMANENTLY DELETE ALL DATA ON THAT DRIVE
1. Open “My Computer” and identify the target hard drive letter (NOT the C: drive)
2. Right-click the target hard disk drive icon and select “Format…”
3. Ensure “NTFS” and “Quick Format” are selected
4. Enter a “Volume label” of “Rebit”
5. Click “Start”
6. Click “OK” and “Close”
