    Hi,

    Computer: Asus G53sw - XN1 (notebook)
    60gb SSD
    500GB Data
    6GB Ram
    Win 7 x64

    This computer works 100%.

Did an initial backup to a Seagate goflex 1TB USB 3.0 drive

Took 36 hours for the inital backup

Other backups only took a few minutes

Well, I decided to TEST the recovery procedure and when the program gets to "Select the rebit 5 device to restore your data from" , the goflex shows up fine, but when selecting it,
it just spins its wheels. It's froze.

I've tested the goflex drive evry which way but loose, and rebit will STILL backup to it. There is NO problem with any of the drives.

In fact, as a further test, I used Macrium Reflect to make backup images and it worked 100% and found the drive using the macrium restore CD.

This rebit program seems pretty neat, but has no value if it can't restore anything.

    Any ides ?

    Regards,

    Gary

    I figured this out myself.

It seems the backup device MUST be attached at boot up.

You cannot load up the program, add the device via USB and do a "Refresh".

The Go Flex drive shows up that way, but cannot be accessed.

Works when attached at boot up. But since it took 36 hours to back up, I sure hope the program won't take that long to restore.

    Regards,

Some disks must be attached at boot up, while others can be discovered by refresh.
