The login credentials for my NAS are rejected

    When manually entering a NAS UNC location such as \\fritz.box and the correct login credentials, then after pressing the "Done" button, the user name and password input fields turn orange/red. I assume this means the credentials are incorrect, but I am sure they are right.

    In my case, actually the UNC was wrong.

    For a USB disk connected to a FritzBOX! ADSL modem/router, one needs to enter \\fritz.box\name-of-nas (such as \\fritz.box\WD-MyPassport071A-01, as shown in Windows Explorer when browsing to \\fritz.box), not just \\fritz.box.

    And in another post, someone noted that if the drive is on a Windows server domain, one needs to use a domain qualified username, i.e., DOMAIN\username.
