Let's start with a disk checking utility to ensure the drive is functioning well.
- Open a "My Computer" window
- Right-click the "G:" drive icon (or whichever icon represents the Rebit external disk drive) and select "Properties"
- Click to select the “Tools” tab
- Click “Check Now…” in the “Error-checking” area
- Ensure “Automatically fix file system errors” is checked
- Click “Start”
- After the check finishes, click “Ok”
After the error-checking process runs the disk drive will likely be in a better condition. The Rebit software should then be able to install.
Double-click the Rebit external disk drive icon. If the software does not automatically run, double-click the "Start.exe" file icon to launch the software installation.
In the event that the software is still unable to run, please follow the steps at this link to re-install the Rebit software.
