Concerning Rebit backup software, I have 2 hard drives currently installed in my PC, one is a 750 GB hard drive, the other is a 1 TB drive, both are SATA drives. On the 750 GB drive I have installed Ubuntu 9.04, 64-bit Linux operating system, using the grub menu that includes a reference to my Windows 7 64-bit ultimate which is installed on the 1 TB hard drive. Please keep in mind that the Windows 7 master boot record is in place and fully bootable if the Ubuntu drive is removed.

My first installation of the Rebit backup software Save Me express, I was booting from the Ubuntu grub boot loader. At the end of the software installation, I received a VSS Volume Shadow Service error from the software. Though I tried many of the workarounds suggested from your tech staff and support site, nothing seemed to work as far as the Rebit software creating a recovery point. So I uninstalled the software and formatted my external USB drive I was using with the Rebit program.

After changing my bios to load only from the Windows drive, the 1 TB drive. I installed the Rebit program again, this time without any errors. The back up worked great and this time it created a recovery point.
